BEFORE YOU WAX

Hair Length: You need some hair growth for the wax to hold onto; we recommend 1/4 of an inch, which is about 2–3 weeks of growth after shaving.

Exfoliate: A gentle body scrub will help rid dead cells around skin pores and hair follicles, providing an easier exit. Shower and lightly exfoliate before your appointment.

Regrowth: Due to hair growth cycles, sometimes the very first wax may already grow some stubble after a few days. It's not the waxed hair, but another cycle that was still in the skin during waxing.

AFTER YOU WAX

In the first 24-48 hours you may experience some normal sensitivity, redness and/or irritation. To help alleviate:

• Do not use exfoliating products on your skin.
• Do not expose treated area(s) to UVA/UVB rays.
• Avoid heavy exercise for at least 24 hours.
• Resist touching freshly waxed skin to help avoid breakouts.
• To help avoid ingrown hairs, exfoliate 1-2 times a week.

WAIT TO WAX IF...

There are many circumstances where waxing should be avoided. The most common are:

• If you have irritated, open or sunburned skin.
• If you are using Accutane or have within the last six months.
• If you are using Retin-A or have within the last three months.
• If you have had injections in the last seven days.

Other skincare ingredients, topical/oral medications and medical procedures can interfere with waxing services. Please be aware if you have any contraindications.
